CS34 - Festive Fun

I've done a few cards with the stamps  from the latest creative stamping magazine. Fortunately they sent me a copy of the stamps early so I could do the samples but I'm still waiting for the actual magazines to arrive! Anyway it's down for tomorrows workshop so I thought I ought to publish the cards I've done. More will follow when I get more inspired. I like some of these a lot more than others but they are all here since peoples tastes vary.

Cards from August workshop customers

First a few variations on the creative stamping cards

Then I'd had a request to  do some basic quilling from a customer. In the old days when all we had were circles and ovals to mount quilled pieces onto they looked fairly plain but nowadays we have our dies and embossing folders to set them off.
These are what the ladies produced...

Stampendous birds, penguins and cottages - multi ways

Again I looked at how many ways I could use this stamp and die set. A couple of the cards are what I did with Fran on our retailer workshop. (sorry about pictures will redo soon but since workshop coming up I wanted to get them out)

After playing with these I moved to the penguins form the stencil, die and stamp sets and tried them with flock, glitter, embossing pastes, stencilled colour and added frantage snow etc.

I still had some cottages on the shelf so I thought it would be great to turn them into winter cottages.

As usual more to follow when I get more time to play.

Multiways with Creative Expression dies

Looking back I can't believe its been over a month since I last posted. Where does the time go????

Anyway I've been busy over the last month working on how many things I can do with one die or stamp in preparation for the Christmas workshops. Some pictures have not come out too well so I'll have to redo them and post later.

Here are some of the ways with the striplet dies -  plain, glitter, foil, gilding flakes etc.

and then I looked at using the Christmas Rose in slightly different ways. I have also used the metallic gilding polishes for my backgrounds which I have then embossed and left sanded or plain.

The double gemini die of holly and poinsettia was cut after a sale but I only had these two samples to work with as I'd sold them all. I now have them in again so will be working on more ideas this week.
