Creative Stamping 45 - Sprinkled with love

I started these cards before I went on my holidays to North Wales last week, then did  a few more yesterday. We are not doing a full day's workshop this time since not all of my regulars wanted this issue but we are doing a half day next week. That meant I didn't need to produce so many cards as usual.
I have still tried to use different products in the cards though although I must admit the pixie powder one didn't work too well - hence the reason not on a card - must adapt that sometime.  Anyway just a few ideas for your stamps if you purchased this issue

" Erica" - a woodware stamp

We had one of the latest woodware flowers called ERICA in recently so I had a lovely day playing with it. I used it with colour core inks, pixie powders, metallic gilding polishes etc and could have gone on for amother day but I thought perhaps this was enough

Working with some TAndo Creative products

I bought in some products from tando creative earlier this year. Our craft group tried out the book making kits and had a great time decorating them

A couple of houses from the greyboard sheets that we did as a make and take at the trade show I put onto a painted canvas background.
The 3D house was from a greyboard die cut pack that I made up and decorated. I need to do some more of these to put into a 3D scene
The tag contains a perspective wall from one of Tando's sheets.
Lots more to play with- I'll show the results later

Using metal on our cards

Some of these ideas you may have seen before but I have gone through looking for examples on various ways of working with metal. They include using coloured metal sheets, colouring with acrylic paint and with alcohol inks. Plus different wauys of embossing and getting patterns onto the sheets of metal

Cards for Men

This is a workshop I always do at this time of year before Father's Day.
I tried out the new Woodware tractor stamp, then used some cars which we have used before but I still had a set to sell so I tried some other ideas. Looking for sports was more difficult and I had to resort to decoupage sheets and peels offs. I needed to do a clock/ time card for my husband so clocks included - the idea for the stepper card was to add a die cut age to the  main area.
The creative stamping magazines add cards with boats and playing cards.

The boots were from last year but it is always a popular card.

Pixie powders

I have put on the board some old pixie powder ideas but there are also all of those I did with the woodware stamps and there are more on the CS "Enchanted" board. In fact lots of ideas all over the place and I'm doing more all of the time as anyone coming to the workshop will find

Butterflies and Dragonflies

This week's project has been looking at various ways for using some of the butterfly dies we have in stock from creative expressions plus some stamps (Woodware and stampendous) and Dreamweaver stencils. As usual lots more I could do but need to move on to another workshop next week. As usual every topic will be revisited later

CS42 ENCHANTED

Over the last week I have been working on the latest magazine stamps and different ways of using them. You will note I had more ideas with the fairy tale stamps than the playing cards but I met my usual challenge of using all of the stamps somewhere with a couple of small stamp exceptions.

since the easel card didn't show well on full board I have added an extra picture of it.

Essential Rectangles

Essential Rectangles die from Creative expressions cuts frames and card to the sizes of many of our cards A5, 5"x7", A6, A7 plus a few extras. I have been using them a lot as frames. Some  of these are old cards you will have seen before but there are a few new ones and I will be working on more over the next few weeks. I have put these dies with the windows and doors shown last time for workshop purposes.

The shadow box card used small dies from some of these sets rather than the special die for this - this enables more variety and ensures we get the most out  of our dies

windows and doors

I have used the window and window box die for these cards from creative expressions. Much inspiration came from Sue Wilson's cards but the patio door was my idea.

These will be put on the die cutting workshop along with ideas using the essential rectangles

New Woodware stamps

I have taken 2 flowers from the woodware range and used them different ways with different colouring methods - doodling, brushpens, inkpads, pixie powders, metallic gilding polishes as well  as using different powders for the stamping. There are a number of  pixie powder cards because that was also some prep for the pixie powder workshop.
Some of my inspiration came from the cards seen  on the creative expressions stand at our trade show/catalogue. The double z card was inspired by one  that Jane Gill was demonstrating at the show.

The first workshop on these this this Wednesday if anyone is interested.

Creative stamping and Glitter kiss

I have enjoyed playing with the latest magazine stamps - entitled Ultimate Crafts- with the new Glitter Kiss from cosmic shimmer. Some ideas worked better than others but since we are on a learning curve with Glitter Kiss I have included all samples since they show what happens when you are too heavy handed etc.

The unfinished cards at the bottom were to show different ways with glitter kiss, although some have not shown u as well as hoped. The embossed border on black shiny card shows up much better here

Springtime & Easter

This workshop board contains a mixture of stamping and die cutting. The cross, which would also make a lovely sympathy card, is from stampendous as is the card with the large bunnies( I also have lots more done with these stamps & dies). The paper pieced tulip is a woodware stamp and most of the dies are Sue Wilson's. The daffodil from the winter garden creative stamping also fits in nicely here

The shadow box card is made from a number of dies I had opened and the basket which appears on the cards above can also be used to make a nice Easter basket - shame I had no eggs!

creative Stamping 40

Sorry I'm late with this. I was lacking inspiration for a theme to go with these stamps then I decided to use shaped cards as an idea to explore.
This issue deals with a few  male and female hobbies so in the end this is what I came up with

Some cards used dies to produce the shapes, others we cut ourselves.
My challenge with these magazine stamps is to try and use them all and no others but whilst doing a workshop someone said shame no sewing machine , so we got out the woodware sewing machine stamp and used this on the side stepper as shown below which I think works a lot better.

This week I am starting on the next issues stamps, hopefully to get a number of cards done before they come in!

Creative pastimes

I wondered about creative pass times for those who may not want to do cards all of the time. Thinking of the colouring books about, I thought we could easily create our own using our stamps and then look at different ways of colouring the images. The layout of the pages is different for each stamp and I've spaced them out so they could be cut out and used on cards as desired. Not all pages are shown here but another thought was sending cards for children to colour

Wondering what else comes into this category I thought of creative doodling. Doing structured patterns similar to the zentangle ideas but in stamped or stencilled images can be rewarding but you don't have to worry about the overall images. Most of these ideas come from previous samples I have done

Then I heard on the radio that origami would be the next big thing (yet to see evidence of this though) so I pulled out some of the ideas I had done here - bags and boxes are always more useful that some of the origami shapes but I do love these flowers

Apertures

I had intended to do frames and apertures together but then I had too many ideas for 1 workshop so I separated them. There are a few that are not true apertures in that I have filled the hole with acetate  - but from the idea that you see through an aperture to what is behind I think they should be here.
Again lots of idea and some not more to come- hence the odd example from Christmas to show what can be done. I shall keep working on the ideas........

Frames

Whilst doing my Christmas cards and others I noticed how often I was using frames and sets of frames so I thought I'd look into how many ways they could be used...... although this is far from complete but here are a few ways that I have used them

I have used them with images coloured with gilding flakes (black tree outlines), with frantage - (winter and spring ideas with the stampendous stamp) and also with UTEE panels - done also in a variety of ways. There are frames to hide edges as with my clean up sheets and acetate, frames around inverted pictures, decorative frames etc.
A project that I am sure will be never ending......

Metallic gilding polishes

I have been hooked on metallic gilding polishes since they came out last year. As you will have seen before I use them multiple ways - solid colour, diluted colour, mixed colour, clean up sheets and over embossed images as we would with waxes. Stamping and colouring can also be done. I also go through lots of ways of using them with embossed sheets as you can see below

In our workshops we explore all the things that can be done

cs - Winter Garden

Well now the new year has come I thought it time I got back to showing you some of the new workshop cards for the coming session. So far I have only completed the creative stamping board, well Christmas has got in the way of card making and my 2 days in the shop this week were taken up by clearing away Christmas stock and preparing for the sale which starts next week
Anyway here they are...

Hope you can zoom in for a good look. I have used all sorts metallic gilding polishes, pixie powders, inkpads as well as some of the  new creative expressions dies. Workshop is in two weeks time. In the meantime I need to get on with preparing some others....... By the way this magazine was so popular it sold out in the first week!
